Chrome Browser Tool - Arbitrary Rendering Identifier

Arbitrary Rendering Identifier (ARIA) is an accessibility technology that allows web content to be accessible to people with various types of vision impairments and motor disabilities. To create ARIA, developers need to provide a series of identifiers, called ARIA roles, for each element on the page. They also need to provide a description for each ARIA role so that the content is accessible to everyone.

This tool will scan your HTML pages and make sure that all the elements you have listed in the ARIA roles section are correctly implemented, that there are no duplicate IDs and that you haven't listed the ARIA roles in a frame that already has them.

The scan will automatically open a new tab on your browser and show you the issues detected.

You may also find a list of errors for the currently viewed page at the bottom of the screen.

The issues detected by the tool are shown in the HTML tab of the Inspector, and it is possible to see the values for each ARIA role in the roles section of the same tab.

If you are interested in the current version of the app, click the "Up" button on the menu bar.

The issues detected are saved in a log file so you can access them later.
